INFOTECH OULU WORKSHOP 2009
Infotech Oulu Workshop 2009, ninth in series on Optoelectronic Devices and Instrumentation concentrating this time on "Advanced developments in optical instrumentation", will be organized in 1.6.-4.6.2009. The workshop will be lectured in English and is intended for advanced undergraduate and post-graduate students with some background in optics, optoelectronics devices and their manufacturing techniques.
The workshop is closely associated with, and funded by, the Infotech Oulu Graduate School and Graduate School of Modern Optics and Photonics (Joensuu). Graduate students receive tentatively 3-4 credit points by successfully passing the course.
Preliminary workshop contents
FD-OCT technology, different approaches and recent developments - Ph.D. Yoshiaki Yasuno Computational Optics Group in the University of Tsukuba, Japan
Digital holography - Professor Hans Jürgen Kreuzer, Dalhousie University, Canada
Workshop consists of approximately 24 lecture hours. A recreational social program, which also aims at promoting discussions with instructors and between participants, is an integral part of the workshop.
At the end of the workshop a final examination is arranged for graduate students, who are required to read the preparatory material delivered in advance. Financial support is available to the students of the graduate schools.
