Synopsis:

I will explain social networks both from the social point of view and from the techical abstraction, then talk about current applictions including both the "social networking" software and the software that helps with Social Network Analysis (SNA). During ths period I will discuss how it still requires lots of human judgement, but that over time parts will be better organized to be come part of applications.
